Dr. Theard has had
residency training and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and
Gastroenterology. As a Board Certified Physician, she is certified by the
American Board of Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Board of
Gastroenterology, which confirms the highest qualification and knowledge
of the field of gastroenterology.
Dr. Theard has extensive experience in the procedures of endoscopy and
colonoscopy. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of
health care to patients and has developed a state-of the-art outpatient
surgical center, Theda Oaks Ambulatory Surgical Center. Dr. Theard
has assembled a highly skilled nursing team and administrative staff to
ensure in addition to a high quality facility there is caring, helpful
staff for the patient’s needs. |

Dr. Theard has been a
resident of San Antonio since 1980. She was born in New Orleans, LA
and attended high school at Xavier University Preparatory School of New
Orleans. She is married to John L. Battles and they are the proud parents
of two sons, Jon and Justin. In addition to being active with her
sons’ activities and sports, she has served as a Committee Member of San
Antonio Zoological Society for six years and was a Committee Member of San
Antonio Children’s Museum for two years. |
