OUTPATIENT CARE:
Theda Oaks Ambulatory Surgical Center is  an initiative of three physicians who developed a vision for an outpatient  system of healthcare delivery specifically for patients with gastrointestinal medical needs.

It is their goal to create a highly efficient system for the delivery of quality care while allowing the patient access to healthcare delivered in a comfortable, safe, and cost effective manner.

PATIENT FRIENDLY

Theda Oaks Ambulatory Surgical Center

A  better way to meet the needs of patients who require outpatient surgery.

FACILITY:
Our center has two full operating rooms which are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring equipment for safety, maximum accuracy and quality.
The staff is committed to providing high quality patient care from the time the patient arrives at the Center, until the time they leave. With a high staff to patient ratio, patients are assured that their comfort and care will be closely overseen during their entire visit.

QUALITY:
At Theda Oaks Ambulatory Surgical Center, we strive to meet the highest quality in every phase of outpatient care.  Quality  is assured because our  center submits to rigorous oversight. To participate in and receive payment from the Medicare or Medicaid programs, our facility must maintain active certification and comply with quality standards set forth by the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA).

We have a Quality Assurance Committee, chaired by the Medical Director, who is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and supported by the surgeon partners as part of a Continuing Quality Improvement process to ensure exceptional results and efficiency.

Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Today more and more surgeries are done in places other than hospitals.

These are "in and out" (ambulatory) surgery centers, where you may stay for a few hours or up to one night. If you plan to have surgery at such a center, call your health plan or visit the center to find out:
  • If your health plan will cover your care at our center.
  • How well trained and experienced the center's health care professionals are.
  • If it is licensed. Then check to see if it is accredited by a group such as the Texas Department of Health (telephone 1-888- 973-0022). The accreditation certificate should be posted.
